I've been wondering how this was going for you! I'm glad you shared. It sounds like you're still doing great! I LOVE the simplicity aspect. I really have tried to completely convert myself to this in all areas: cleaning the house, decorating, running errands, cooking, etc. I hope Maddy does a great job potty training for you!

Wow, its sounds like you are doing great. Cloth diapers? Bless your heart. That's a sacrifice. :) I started eating more organic foods before the recession hit, but now I simply can't afford it either. I wish I could. Walmart used to carry more organic foods, but they quit selling as much of them too. It's just too hard to shop at several stores looking for the cheapest foods, with two kids. Once the economy gets better I hope to start that again. I do what I can though.

The main thing I am doing is not allowing sweets in the house. If I buy something sweet for Will's lunches, I try to buy something that I won't be tempted to eat. I am desperate to lose this baby weight, but since I am nursing its going to be a long journey. I just need 5lbs off so I can fit into my clothes. I'm still wearing some of my maternity clothes. I've never weighed this much before. And I absolutely refuse to buy a bigger size!

I have a friend that told me that she incorporates veggies into every meal, even breakfast! I need her recipes. We simply just don't eat enough veggies at all. I don't really now how to cook with them since I didn't grow up eating them.

You're doing great though. Keep it up!

I know exactly what you are going through. I did the same thing 2003. It really does get easier and you will find the products you love and the ones you don't love! I started eating a vegetarian diet and that was a HUGE change for me as well as the family. My boys are now grown and living on their own, but hubby and I are still plugging along with healthy eating, exercise and going green! Keep up the good work, it is worth it!
