Top Ten Ways You Know You’re A Mommy  Blogging  Addict

1. Your day is not complete if you haven’t blogged.

2. You have IRL (in real life) friends and blog world friends. You don’t personally know your blog world friends but do happen to know more about them than your IRL friends! You use phrases like ” I have a  mom blog friend who told me….”

3. You not only know what memes and blog carnivals are, you take part in them and/or have created your own.

4. You know what “link up” means.

5. You casually throw the names “MckMama” and “Angie” around like they’re personal friends of yours.

6. COMMENTS! They make your day. You live for them. You would do anything for more of them.

7. Your husband has no clean underwear because you spent time reading and writing blogs.

8. You use words like “blogworthy” and see the world not as a stage but as  blogging material. Nothing is sacred anymore…or so your husband and family feel.

9. When your friends ask you how you’re doing or about some news in your life you say  ” Oh, I blogged about it. You can read all about it there.”

10. Facebook and Twitter are not only used to stay in touch with friends and family but to also gain you more followers.

And, please, go wash your husband’s underwear already.

I finally did. My husbands, I mean….

    Very funny!

I know my husband was shocked when I blogged through our daughter’s surgery, but I couldn’t find anyone who talked about it from a parent’s perspective and I wanted other people to have that perspective when they received her diagnosis.

Also, when you start talking to your IRL friends and they say, “Oh yeah. I know. I read it on your blog.”

    :)

I mentioned something the other day about my cousin Amanda, and my DH was confused. He said, “Oh, when you’re talking about Amanda you usually mean the one online!”

    Haha.

LOL! This is right on target! I’m guilty of writing, in email to an IRL friend, It’s on my blog, so I won’t be redundant. As if everyone reads every word of my blog! *eyeroll*

Hee, hee, every single one of those is so true. I wonder if there’s a group for this? It would never be anonymous though, we’d all blog about it later. LOL

OK, #8 & 9 almost made me pee my pants! I’m not kidding! I’m always saying, “I’m SO blogging about this!” or “Yeah, it’s all on the blog, go read about it”. My family and friends hate me for it. This list is TOO FUNNY! Loved it!

I don’t fit all of them, but most!! I don’t wash Waylon’s underwear, he does. haha. I do have to read all my blogs each day and even if I personally don’t write a blog everyday, I’m on here checking to see if I have comments and reading other people’s blogs. Ahh…who knew back when xanga was popular that blogging would ever get THIS big!?!

I’m relatively new to blogging world, but you have described my new life. Thankfully the hubby and friends seem to be supportive as they say things like “You should so blog about that!”

However, my daughter did something cute the other day that was somewhat embarrassing to her. She looked me in the eye and said, “DON’T tweet that.” I think she’s going to be my toughest critic.

    Great list!

Oh my goodness, Kathy! That is so funny about your daughter. My girls are too young to even know that I write about them but I’ve certainly heard it from my husband. ” Don’t write about this on your blog….” lol!

I know Steph! You and Bryan were the ones who introduced me to the world of xanga and myspace. I never thought I’d even be into something like that. Thank you!!!

@Beth- sometimes you can find the best support through other people who have been through the same thing online. Many people don’t understand that, but it’s true!! Glad you found some support
